Video: Microsoft’s HoloLens headset is absolutely incredible
Anyone who thinks that Microsoft can’t innovate anymore hasn’t seen HoloLens, the virtual reality headset that has incredible promise as a tool to help people collaborate on projects when they aren’t even in the same room. To demonstrate HoloLens’s potential, Microsoft has posted a new video showing how the HoloLens works running an application designed by Trimble to help architects and engineers collaborate and visualize their projects through incredible 3D holograms.

After doubling up on free games in April, Games with Gold is back to normal next month, with four games to download on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Unfortunately, one of the free Xbox One games is just an extension from last month’s collection, but we’re all going to be too busy playing The Witcher 3 to worry about it anyway.

Samsung just launched the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, but that doesn’t mean the company is ignoring future flagship devices – or at least two in particular. SamMobile has discovered listings in an IMEI database for two distinct products, and they appear to be new Galaxy Note and Galaxy S models.

iPad software glitch grounds ‘dozens’ of American Airlines planes
Starting in the summer of 2011, a number of airlines, including Alaska Airlines and Delta, began replacing voluminous paper manuals with iPads on some of its planes. The iPads came pre-loaded with anything and everything a pilot might need to access during a flight, including aeronautical charts, operating manuals, along with a slew of other reference materials.
By 2013, this practice became commonplace, so much so that American Airlines began using iPads across its entire fleet of aircraft, the first major commercial airline to do so.
And so, as luck would have it, American Airlines is also the first major airline to see its planes grounded due to malfunctioning iPads. On Tuesday evening, a number of iPads designated for cockpit use began shutting down unexpectedly, causing a number of flight delays across major U.S. cities.

Nexpaq is a modular case that adds incredible new features to the iPhone 6 or Galaxy S6
Google’s Project Ara smartphones are not yet widely available, and neither are any other similar devices from the competition. But it’s more than apparent that some users are interested in such features from mobile devices. However, rather than making a new modular phone concept, one company has conceived a different kind of device that can offer the same sort of module-based experience to existing smartphones, including the iPhone.
Meet Nexpaq, a modular smartphone case for iPhone 6 and Android devices (including Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy S5) that just launched on Kickstarter looking to raise $50,000.

Hell freezes over: Android and iOS apps are coming to Windows 10
Microsoft is raising the white flag when it comes to developing its own mobile app ecosystem — instead, it’s going to let developers easily bring their iOS and Android apps over to Windows 10 without having to completely rebuild them from the ground up as they’ve had to do in the past. Essentially, Microsoft is letting developers reuse most of the same code that they used to write their apps for rival platforms and is giving them tools to help them optimize these apps for Windows.
