On Monday, we shared the cancellations and renewals for the five major networks: NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox and The CW. There weren’t too many surprises on the list, but it doesn’t really matter, because what we’re really interested in are the new shows that will be premiering over the next 12 months.

Last but not least, The CW has begun uploading trailers for its new shows (including the highly anticipated Legends of Tomorrow).

Walmart to take on Amazon with a Prime-like service of its own

A new report from The Information claims that Walmart is planning to roll out a shipping service of its own aimed at taking on Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer.

Walmart’s upcoming shipping service is reportedly codenamed “Tahoe” and is on schedule to launch sometime later this spring or summer. Notably, Walmart was initially hoping to have its nascent shpping service up and running before 2015 but was ultimately forced to delay its release amid technical difficulties with the service’s software.

How to steal cash from an ATM using just an iPod nano and a piece of plastic

There’s a new and depressingly simple way to steal cash from ATMs and rob other people’s bank accounts, Business Insider informs us. Apparently, thieves have started rigging ATMs to grab people’s ATM cards while at the same time hooking up a concealed fifth-generation iPod nano near the machine to record a video of the users entering in their PINs. Once the users walk away because they figure the machines have simply eaten their cards, the thieves walk in, dislodge their card from the machine and then use their PIN to rob them blind.

Rdio’s plan to compete with Apple and Spotify: The cheapest music subscription service we’ve seen yet

With an already packed music streaming field poised to get even more crowded once Apple enters the fray, Rdio is planning to introduce a new music streaming service for just $3.99/month.

Dubbed Rdio Select, the new music streaming service will offer subscribers three main options. One will be a Pandora style music recommendation service, albeit without any pesky ads. Two, Rdio Select will allow users listen to any 25 songs of their choosing on-demand. And third, Rdio Select will offer users curated playlists from artists like Mumford & Sons along with “tastemakers like NPR Music and Rolling Stone.” To top it all off, Rdio notes that its songs come in higher 320 kbps quality.
