It’s always fun to read what happens when fans of one mobile platform switch to another for a certain length of time, and web designer and Android fan Joe Casabona recently decided to try the iPhone 6 for a couple of weeks to see if it did anything better than his preferred operating system. While Casabona found a lot to like on the iPhone 6, there still wasn’t enough to convince him to make the switch and he’s decided to stick with Android for now.

With iOS 9 looming, Samsung’s copy of Apple’s best iOS 8 feature has just been released
The timing couldn’t have been better. In the morning, Samsung managed to get its $930 penalty for copying the iPhone reduced by a substantial amount. Then, in the afternoon, Samsung released its copy of what is likely the best feature that Apple introduced last year when it rolled out iOS 8.

Nothing is more annoying than home internet outages, and now there’s a study that proves it
You toss a packet of popcorn into your microwave and drop a bag of chamomile slowly into a mug of hot water. The couch is calling your name as the microwave begins beeping to let you know that the piping hot buttery popcorn inside is ready to be devoured. Apple just quietly released a new MacBook Pro and Retina iMac – here are the details
Apple on Tuesday quietly released a new versions of its 15-inch MacBook Pro and its 27-inch 5K Retina iMac. The new MacBook Pro has been updated with the Force Touch technology that Apple started using with the Apple Watch and the 12-inch Retina MacBook earlier this year. In addition to the new Force Touch trackpad, the new MacBook Pro will also feature stronger battery life that Apple says will deliver an extra hour of use, as well as a new graphics processor that the company says will make graphics run 80% faster. The computer will come in two versions — one with a 2.2GHz processor and one with a 2.5GHz processor — that will sell for $1,999 and $2,499, respectively.

Why Apple decided to axe its mythical HDTV
After nearly a decade worth of research and prototyping, Apple last year finally put to bed any designs it may have had on releasing a branded HDTV set, this according to a recently published report in The Wall Street Journal.
According to the Journal, Apple seriously investigated the development of an HDTV but was ultimately unable to come up with a set of differentiating features that would position its own offering apart from the competition.
