The NSA came up with a brilliantly sneaky way to hack your Android phone
Once again, we have to tip our cap in grudging admiration for the lengths the National Security Administration will go to hack into our mobile devices. The Intercept has published some new documents leaked by Edward Snowden that show how the NSA and other spy agencies at one point planned to conduct man-in-the-middle attacks between end users and Android app stores to infect users’ phones with spyware.

Need for Speed reboot trailer brings the series back underground
Need for Speed: Most Wanted was one of my favorite games of the last generation. It’s the second best open world racing game ever made (after the inimitable Forza Horizon 2), but its follow-up, Need for Speed Rivals, just didn’t connect with me. I wanted something even bigger and more impressive, but what I got was a conservative step into the new console generation.

HBO can’t do anything to stop Game of Thrones piracy
Try as it might, HBO simply can’t keep Game of Thrones piracy at bay. Despite HBO’s best efforts as of late, which have included going after Periscope users and even bars holding public viewings of the show, the demand for GOT is simply too overwhelming to keep piracy in check.
This week’s most recent episode was reportedly downloaded over 3.5 million times in just a 24-hour period, setting a new record in the process. So even with HBO Now subscriptions presumably doing quite well (the iOS app is the 8th highest grossing app on the App Store), GOT related piracy is seemingly a force that can’t be stopped.
