One man’s tragically doomed quest to get off Best Buy’s spam email list
Dealing with spam offers from retailers is one of the more annoying components of managing email these days but for the most part you can make them go away by unsubscribing to them. Note how we said, “For the most part.” Ars Technica’s Jon Brodkin found himself on Best Buy’s official email list and he did the sensible thing most people do and tried to unsubscribe. It didn’t work. Then he tried complaining directly to Best Buy, whose representatives promised to remove him from the list. That also didn’t work. As a result, his inbox still looked like this after multiple complaints:

Gossip website Gawker regularly walks the fine line between entertaining, edgy content and completely unethical, sleazy trash. On Thursday, the website went way, way over that line by helping a blackmailer take revenge against a non-public figure because that person declined to abuse their power on the blackmailer’s behalf.

More Android device makers are starting to remove from flagship devices the microSD slot that offered buyers in the past a way of increasing local storage on a smartphone or tablet, with this year’s Galaxy S6 family being one such example. Phone Arena flags a new benchmark that recently popped up on Geekbench for mystery LG phone that it speculates is either the 2015 Nexus 5 or the upcoming LG G4 Pro. Either way, the specs for the device are promising.

Here’s what you need to know about ‘Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’
The release of a remastered Uncharted collection for the PlayStation 4 was basically inevitable. It’s one of the tentpole franchises of the PlayStation brand, and all three titles received rave reviews at launch.
What I’m saying is that Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection was a no-brainer, but thankfully, the teams at Naughty Dog and Bluepoint Games appear to be handling the project with the care and attention it deserves.

Apple reminds us what the Apple Watch is for with four new commercials
After an initial advertising push a few months ago, we haven’t seen much in the way of Apple Watch ads from Apple in recent months. That all changed on Wednesday as Apple rolled out four brand new Apple Watch commercials.
In keeping with one of Apple’s tried and true marketing techniques, the commercials don’t center on what the Apple Watch is, but rather on ways in which the device can be used during the course of a normal day.
