FEATURED — The best thing about the iPhone 6s

Earlier this week, I published my iPhone 6s review. I covered the good and the bad — though there was far more good than bad — and I did my best to discuss all of the key new features on this year’s iPhone. Judging by all of the positive feedback I’ve received so far, I was pretty thorough. Alongside major phone launches though, we also supplement our in-depth reviews with separate coverage that focuses on the best and worst things about a new device.

I’ve now spent a week with Apple’s new iPhone 6s, and my pick for the best thing about it isn’t at all what I thought it would be.

How to make yourself invisible on Facebook

Look, you can admit it. You’re a Facebook stalker. You want to see what everyone else is up to, but you don’t want to show people 487 new pictures of your baby every 12 minutes. You don’t want your high school friends you haven’t seen in 20 years knowing that you just checked in at McDonald’s to score a $0.50 coupon on a Big Mac. You don’t want your grandmother to know that you’re out at club at 3:00 a.m. doing tequila shots with a bunch of people you’ve never met.

It’s OK. We’re not here to judge. In fact, we’re here to help. In just a few simple steps, you can make yourself completely invisible on Facebook and stalk people as much as you’d like without having to worry that they might be stalking you back.

New glass suspension bridge in China is 980 feet long, 600 feet high, and absolutely terrifying

Engineers in China recently completed work on a mesmerizing 980 ft. long suspension bridge primarily made out of glass. Dubbed the Haohan Qiao Bridge — which appropriately translates to Brave Men’s Bridge in English — the engineering marvel towers 600 feet above a canyon below and is situated between two cliffs. Located at the Shiniuizhai National Geological Park in southern China, the Haohan Qiao Bridge is clearly not meant for the faint of heart.

Did Apple just drop a hint about a major future iPhone feature?

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

More than one rumor has claimed in the past that Apple is preparing to launch its own mobile virtual network (MVNO) of the kind that Google is already toying with in the USA. Apple denied those reports, but there’s circumstantial evidence proving that company’s interest in this particular area. In fact, Apple’s senior vice-president Eddy Cue seems to have dropped another clue pointing to such an initiative.

FEATURED — How to abandon Android and switch to the iPhone 6s

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Apple’s new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have now been on sale for exactly a week. Incredibly, that means Apple has likely already sold more new iPhone models than most flagship phones will sell in their lifespans; think for a moment about how crazy that is. People switch from Android to the iPhone all the time — and vice versa, of course — but since new iPhones just launched a week ago, we can expect a massive influx of people jumping ship from Android in order to buy one of Apple’s brand new handsets.

When switching from one mobile platform to another, it can be difficult enough just to get used to the new phone and adapt your usage patterns. Then add on the fact that many people don’t know how to move their data from one phone to the other, and it can be very stressful. You can calm down, though, because BGR is here and we’ll hold your hand through the entire process.

Tesla’s Model X Falcon Wing door design is an engineering marvel

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Earlier this week, Elon Musk officially took the wraps off of Tesla’s completed Model X, an SUV modeled after the wildly successful Model S. Though the Model X has a lot in common with the Model S — it’s purely electric, it features a 17-inch display on the dash — the Model X is a whole lot more than a simple Model S clone in SUV form.

Design wise, one of the more intriguing and unique features of the Model X (aside from its “Bioweapon defense mode“) is that its two rear doors are what Tesla calls Falcon Wing doors. As opposed to traditional car doors which open outward in a horizontal fashion, the Model X’s Falcon Wing doors open up vertically. What’s more, because the Model X doors are double-hinged, they can open up fully even when there’s just 12-inches of space to each side, a feat accomplished by having the doors open up upwards before opening up outwards.
