New point-and-shoot camera with 16 sensors can replace your pricey DSLR and lens kit
It’s increasingly clear that mobile devices, especially flagship smartphones, can offer a camera experience that’s on par with most point-and-shoot cameras. Some even approach DSLR territory. In fact, the iPhone has been the most popular camera on Flickr for years, with competing devices usually aiming to beat Apple’s benchmark.
A recent video showed that the iPhone 6s can outperform professional DSLRs in video recording tests, further proving how advanced smartphone cameras have become. That’s why it’s not surprising to see someone create a worthy DSLR rival that’s about the same size as a smartphone, yet it’s ready to deliver a camera experience like nothing else we’ve seen before.

The Netflix Effect: Fewer viewers are opting to sign up for cable in the first place
With good reason, cable providers are worried that an increasing percentage of viewers are opting to cut the cord in favor of streaming services from the likes of Netflix and Hulu. Arguably more worrisome, however, is the fact that there are a growing number of users who are opting not to sign up for cable in the first place.
In other words, while cable providers are frantically trying to figure out ways to keep viewers from leaving the fold, they might want to spend a little bit more time convincing consumers that a $60-$100/month cable contract is worth it.

Apple finally settles ‘batterygate’ scandal once and for all
Apple today issued a statement which will hopefully put ‘batterygate’ to bed once and for all. In case you missed it, there’s a bit of a whirlwind involving claims that some iPhone 6s models with A9 processors from Samsung have substandard battery life compared to iPhone 6s models with A9 processors sourced from TSMC.
One test in particular even purported to show that iPhones with TSMC chips enjoyed nearly two more hours of battery life than equivalent iPhones with Samsung chips.

Does Surface Book really crush the MacBook Pro? Microsoft’s bold claim has a big asterisk
Microsoft woweed its audience earlier this week with the announcement of its Surface Book, which is basically a beefed up version of the Surface Pro 4. Dubbed as the “ultimate laptop,” the new computer is an impressive 13.5-inch Windows 10 tablet and one of Microsoft’s best creations to date.
But the company apparently also misrepresented what the Surface Book can do in terms of performance, especially when suggesting the device can offer twice the performance of the MacBook Pro.
