Everything we know about the Tesla Model 3
After years of anticipation, Tesla later today will finally take the wraps off of the Tesla Model 3 at a special event in California. Arguably, the upcoming Model 3 unveiling represents the most highly anticipated car introduction the auto industry has seen in years, if not decades.
It’s hardly an overstatement to state that the entirety of Tesla’s existence has been building up to today’s event. You see, the Model 3 is much more than a new electric vehicle meant to diversify Tesla’s product line and serve as a quiet alternative to the Model S and the Model X. On the whole, the Model 3 represents Elon Musk’s big bet that an affordably priced electric vehicle can gain a foothold among mainstream car buyers. The Model 3, from its very inception, was designed to be a car for the masses as opposed to a niche vehicle for environmentally conscious individuals with disposable income.

Come with us on a journey through one of the first Jony Ive-designed Apple Stores
The Apple store in the Memphis suburb of Germantown has just reopened after getting a big makeover, part of the first wave of Apple stores with the new Jony Ive-approved look. BGR has visited the Memphis-area store, and one thing we can report: the new store, which also moved to another side of its outdoor shopping center as part of the remodel, is classic Apple.
That is to say, fans of the company will find plenty here to fawn over. Sort of a brick-and-mortar version of the fanboy response to every new iGadget release.

I really tried, but there’s just no way I can switch from the iPhone to a Galaxy S7
Earlier this month I penned an article about the one thing preventing me from ditching my iPhone and switching to a Galaxy S7 edge. In my eyes, Samsung’s latest flagship phone is as close as any company has come to the ideal physical smartphone experience given current technology limitations. The hardware is, hands down, the best that the world has ever seen. There’s little doubt that Samsung’s S6 and S7 designs took inspiration from Apple’s iPhone lineup, but in my opinion Samsung managed to surpass Apple with the Galaxy S7 edge.
The large 5.5-inch display is a clear class leader, but the phone is still compact — it’s barely wider than the 4.7-inch iPhone 6s. The glass and aluminum construction looks and feels amazing. The camera is, hands down, the best the world has ever seen on a smartphone. But the software is still Android even though it’s hiding beneath TouchWiz, and I explained in my piece that it simply doesn’t afford a user experience that can approach iOS.
Needless to say, readers gave me an earful after I published that article.
