iPhone 6s bug lets hackers bypass your lock screen – but there’s a fix
Apple might be working on making iOS more secure than ever, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t bugs in the operating system that hackers can exploit to access data on the device. One such newly discovered issue affects only the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, as it takes advantage of the 3D Touch functionality on the phone to bypass the lock screen and access contacts and photos.
However, you can fix it yourself while you wait for Apple to roll out a permanent fix.

This amazing Kanye West-John Tesh mashup is dripping with ’90s nostalgia
For anyone who grew up in the ’90s and spent a fair amount of time on Sunday afternoons watching the NBA on NBC, the show’s iconic theme song, penned by John Tesh and called “Roundball Rock,” undoubtedly brings back all sorts of fond memories.
Looking to combine the old with the new, Mark Hinog of SB Nation recently put together a mashup featuring “Roundball Rock” with a track from Kanye West’s latest album, The Life of Pablo. When I first stumbled across this mashup, I was bracing myself for the worst, mostly because a) a good mashup takes skill and is harder to put together than most people think and b) the Kanye track chosen for the mashup was “I Love Kanye.”

How the biggest data leak in history happened
For over a year, more than 400 reporters have been inspecting terabytes of data originating from Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca. This “Panama Papers” data has turned out to be the greatest data leak in history, outperforming any similar data dump to date. Coming all from a whistleblower at Mossack Fonseca, the leak includes more than 4.8 million emails, 3 million database files, and 2.1 million PDF files, amounting to more than 2.6 terabytes of information.
Why is the leak important? Because it details the shady tax-evading business practices of various public figures for whom Mossack Fonseca helped create shell companies that were used to hide assets and money.
And it turns out all this data came from a single person who used increased protection to hide his or her identity and to siphon a large amount of data. Here’s how it happened.

Peter Dinklage takes us behind the scenes in SNL’s ‘Game of Thrones’ spoof
This weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live was one of the best of the season. Not only did the episode’s many sketches feature a wide variety of different comedic styles, it also provided host Peter Dinklage with the opportunity showcase a bit of his acting range. Whether he was playing a stuffy boss at a magic show, Winnie the Pooh, or even a lounge singer singing about his “space pants”, it was nice to see Dinklage’s full range of acting chops on full display.
But who are we kidding? Most everyone who tuned in to watch SNL this weekend was hoping for at least one sketch featuring Dinklage assuming the role of Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones. And thankfully, those prayers were answered.

iPhone SE seen getting off to a ‘lackluster’ start
Apple’s recently released iPhone SE was supposed to be Apple’s saving grace, a mid-year release designed to help keep iPhone sales somewhat afloat ahead of the iPhone 7. Packed with the same advanced features as the iPhone 6s and affordably priced, it was widely assumed that the iPhone SE would get off to a strong start following its debut on store shelves this past Thursday.
Now it’s no secret that Apple, whenever it records impressive sales figures, likes to put out a press release boasting of how consumers simply can’t get enough of the company’s latest and greatest product. But with the iPhone SE, Monday morning came and went and we haven’t heard a peep from Apple about sales or even demand.
