Apple issues fix for iOS 9.3.1 lock screen hack
Apple has confirmed, via The Washington Post, that it has in fact issued a server-side fix for an iPhone 6s bug that enabled access to a device’s photos and contacts without the need to verify one’s identity either via a passcode or Touch ID.

The striking similarities between Apple and Tesla

Nest angers customers with planned shutdown of Revolv, may offer affected users compensation
Nest has been in the news quite a bit lately and the company just can’t seem to catch a break. Amidst reports that the company is still struggling to prove its worth following its 2014 sale to Google for $3.2 billion, Nest has reportedly angered customers with the planned shutdown of an automation hub called Revolv. As a quick refresher, Nest acquired Revolv back in late 2014.
What’s has particularly infuriated customers who use Revolv hardware is that Nest isn’t just planning to phase out support for the device, it’s planning on rendering all active Revolv automation hubs in use effectively useless. And hardly a cheap investment, Revolv previously sold for $300.

Tesla blames its own arrogance for delivery shortfall last quarter
Amidst all the understandable hoopla surrounding the recently unveiled Model 3, Tesla yesterday quietly put out a press release detailing the number of vehicles it delivered to customers during the first quarter of 2016.
At the close of the quarter, Tesla reported deliveries of 14,820 cars, a figure which includes the Model S and the Model X. Of that figure, 12,420 deliveries were of the Model S while the Model accounted for 2,400 of the company’s quarterly deliveries. The larger takeaway, though, is that Tesla for the quarter missed its delivery goal of 16,000 vehicles.

A mysterious hacking group has been stealing U.S. secrets for years
A mysterious hacking group has had access to U.S. government files for years and the hackers might still be able to siphon data off government computer networks. The hack apparently dates back to 2011, though it may be linked to attacks on the U.S. government’s computer infrastructure originating in 2008.
