The FBI can’t hack the iPhone 6s
The FBI withdrew its assault on iPhone encryption after it managed to hack its way into the San Bernardino iPhone. Soon after that, the agency notified other law enforcement officials across the country that it’ll try and help out unlock other iPhones from various criminal investigations.
The FBI is yet to tell Apple how it performed the hack, but the Bureau does talk about it with senators. In the meantime, the FBI confirmed that while it may be able to hack some iPhones, the iPhone 6s is impenetrable for the time being.

Spinning top trick shots are infinitely more entertaining that you expected
Elderly men throwing spinning tops across a room might sound like some kind of fever dream, but in actuality, it’s one of the most impressive things you’re likely to see all week. In a video produced by Kuma Films, a group of Japanese men wind strings around spinning tops and then try to toss them into increasingly tough spots.

No company deserves a second chance more than HTC
For the past several years, HTC has been known for three things: Killer hardware, terrible advertising and plummeting sales. When HTC delivered a disappointing flagship phone last year, the bottom really fell out from the company and it seemed to be in a tailspin. In fact, HTC’s revenue numbers still look absolutely dreadful and they’ve shown no indication that they’re about to improve anytime soon.
That said: If there’s a company out there that deserves to get a second chance at success, it’s HTC.

Apple will likely sell its one billionth iPhone later this year
When the iPhone 3Gs was launched in 2008, Apple sold more than 1 million iPhones in just one weekend. At the time, analysts were taken aback. Sure, it was expected that the iPhone would do well, but not many analysts assumed that demand for the iPhone would be that high.
Flash forward seven years and the iPhone is still racking up sales and impressing analysts. The only difference is that the numbers, both in terms of unit sales and overall profits, are far more impressive. This past September, following the release of the iPhone 6s, Apple’s sold more than 13 million iPhones during the initial launch weekend, setting a new record in the process. And with the iPhone 7 launch looming, it’s a safe bet that Apple will once again set a new sales record in just a few months.

Bernie Sanders wants Apple to manufacture ‘some’ of their devices in the U.S.
Earlier in the year, we bore witness to Donald Trump exclaiming that if he gets elected, he will make sure that Apple “builds their damn computers” in the good ole’ U.S. of A. And now we have Bernie Sanders, a candidate you could rightfully describe as the polar opposite of Trump in every meaningful way, effectively championing the same cause. As the old saying goes, politics makes strange bedfellows.
During a recent interview with the New York Daily News – which just so happened to coincide with Apple’s 40th anniversary – Sanders was asked, point-blank, whether or not Apple is destroying the fabric of America. A bizarre question, to be sure, but keep in mind that Sanders isn’t exactly the biggest fan of corporate America.

How Samsung, yes Samsung, might make the iPhone 7 faster
Macs may only account for a fraction of the PC market, but they’re still design and performance benchmarks that Apple competitors try to beat. HP is the latest company to come up with a laptop design that aims to top the Retina MacBook, but Apple is also expected to launch 2016 MacBooks that’ll be slimmer and faster than predecessors.
And Samsung is the company that may provide some of the critical components required to bump up performance. Similarly, it’s also Samsung that might help Apple make the iPhone 7 even faster than previous models.

Get ready for sponsors to start invading Facebook Messenger
If you thought that your Facebook Messenger chats would be free from monetization, think again. It looks like Facebook has begun to roll out an interesting new way to make money off of its wildly popular mobile chat application. While the new strategy doesn’t appear to be anywhere near as annoying as some of the advertising and sponsorship schemes we’ve seen in rival chat apps, feelings will undoubtedly be mixed if and when this new feature begins rolling out to users en masse.

Think the iPhone SE is a flop? Think again
Earlier this week, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that sales for Apple’s new iPhone SE were off to a “lackluster” start. While Ming-Chi Kuo is one of the top Apple analysts around, he might not be right about this particular piece of information. AppleInsider points out that the new iPhone is completely sold out in many stores and shipping times for orders of the device have been pushed back to at least a couple of weeks.
