Instagram quickly became one of the most popular photo-based social networks in the world thanks largely to design. Photo-sharing sites were a dime a dozen when Instagram launched, but the company differentiated itself by offering sleek photo filters that instantly made users’ photos look like they had been professionally edited. In the years since the app’s initial launch though, Instagram has fallen a bit behind the times in some areas. Specifically, the Instagram app’s design is a little dated at this point — but it appears as though the company is hard at work on a remedy.

One of the most prominent iPhone 7 rumors out there concerns the device’s audio output. Apparently, Apple is going to “kill” one more port with this iPhone release: the standard 3.5mm headphone jack. However, it looks like Apple isn’t the only company looking to get rid of the old analog port, as others are also interested in this particular move. Nintendo’s Wii U console has been nothing short of an absolute disaster. The company was revitalized by the original Wii, which completely revolutionized console gaming and extended its reach beyond “gamers” by offering an experience that appealed to a much wider range of users. Unfortunately, lightning didn’t strike twice and Nintendo’s followup with the Wii U has been a total mess. Quality games have been few and far between, and the Wii U did nothing to enhance the user experience.

So now, Nintendo is trying to look ahead. Following yet another bleak earnings report on Wednesday morning, the company made two key announcements — one concerning its next-generation home video game console currently known as “NX,” and a second regarding upcoming new iPhone and Android games.

The FBI challenged Apple in courts twice in the last few months, asking the iPhone maker to unlock devices. And twice, the Feds had to drop their cases, after finding ways to break into the iPhones. One of the two handsets belonged to the San Bernardino shooters, and the FBI unlocked that one with help from outside experts. Reports suggest the FBI may have paid well over $1.3 million for the vulnerability. But the Bureau said the security flaw doesn’t work on all iPhones, only on the iPhone 5c that belonged to one of the shooters – it didn’t use the same hack on the other iPhone it wanted Apple to unlock.

Even so, the FBI isn’t likely to share with Apple the vulnerability, a new report reveals. It’s more likely that Apple finds it and patches it before the Bureau steps up.
