Facebook will soon let you post 360-degree photos to the News Feed
Hot on the heels of bringing 360-degree video to its social network, Facebook announced on Wednesday that it will also be giving users the ability to post 360-degree photos on the News Feed in the coming weeks. As with 360-degree videos, you’ll be able to click and drag on the photos in order see them in full.

This smart camping lantern lights up to guide you home
When you think of camping lanterns, you’re probably imagining some kind of gas-powered Coleman monstrosity your dad used to fire up on weekends. But this is 2016, and lanterns are battery-powered, charge your phone when needed, and will even power up when you get near to help you find your tent in the darkness.
BioLite first made news for its camping stove that uses a wood-burning chamber to boil water and also heat your phone. Since then, the company has branched out into a range of solid stoves, lights and solar panels. Its latest idea is a camping lantern with extra USB ports to charge your stuff, and a Bluetooth connection to your phone.

Nintendo’s ‘Fire Emblem’ and ‘Animal Crossing’ mobile games will both be free
Late last month, Nintendo revealed that its next two mobile games would be based on the popular Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem franchises, but no specific release dates were announced. We still don’t know exactly when we’ll see the apps, but Nintendo does have some news regarding the games this week: both will be free-to-play with in-app purchases.

Google Fiber is just getting warmed up
Google Fiber is set to have a big expansion year in 2016 but it looks like the game-changing internet service is already thinking of new ways to expand faster to new markets. A massive report about Google Fiber over at Re/code reveals more about Google’s ambitious plans to connect people to its service by placing antennas on top of light poles that will beam internet services right to their houses. Google Fiber will start testing out this technology in Kansas City in November, with the goal of having a network up and running by the end of next year.

Act surprised: There’s a new zero-day Flash exploit you need to fix right now
Flash zero-day vulnerabilities are a dime a dozen these days, so you won’t be surprised to learn there’s another one in the wild. Microsoft and Adobe have independently found two distinct zero-day vulnerabilities for Internet Explorer and Flash, respectively, which means it’s time to update Windows and Flash. Apparently, exploits exist for both that allow for remote code execution.

Model S software crashes car, but Tesla blames the driver
You may love your Tesla, but that doesn’t make it any less prone to accidents than other cars. If you want an example, consider that a Tesla driver in Utah recently found that his Model S loaner had parked itself automatically into the back of a trailer.
After analyzing logs, the carmaker told him that he’s the only person to blame for the accident. Apparently, the car’s auto-parking feature was initiated, which is why the car hit the back of the trailer.
