With a reported 373,000 reservations for the Model 3 on the books, Tesla will have to engage in a full-on production sprint in order to meet its updated production deadlines. And given that Tesla has a history of delivering cars much later than promised, not everyone is optimistic that Elon Musk and co. can make good on an unquestionably aggressive production timeline.

Just a few weeks ago, Tesla said that immense demand for the Model 3 compelled them to accelerate their manufacturing plans. Whereas Tesla initially planned to reach a manufacturing capacity of 500,000 cars by 2020, the company now hopes to reach that milestone by 2018. And to help fund such an ambitious production schedule, Tesla just this week announced its intention to raise $1.4 billion in capital via a stock sale.

Because Netflix doesn’t own the global licensing rights to all of the movies and TV shows it carries, a good deal of its programming remains completely unavailable to subscribers outside of certain geographic regions. Indeed, one of the reasons why Netflix is so intent on developing its own original programming is precisely because they don’t have to deal with thorny licensing issues.

Google isn’t happy with the chat apps it already has, so at I/O 2016 it showed off a new Assistant-infused Allo messaging app as well as a Duo video chat app intended to work like Apple’s FaceTime, but across platforms. A new image taken by the Hubble space telescope shows Mars in incredible detail as astronomers prepare for a close-up with the red planet.

Operated by NASA and the European Space Agency, Hubble took the Mars image on May 12. “During May 2016 the Earth and Mars get closer to each other than at any time in the last ten years,” explained the ESA, in a statement.

On Sunday, Mars will “come into opposition,” which refers to the point at which the planet is located directly opposite the Sun in the sky. “This means that the Sun, Earth and Mars line up, with Earth sitting in between the Sun and the Red Planet,” explained the ESA.

Indiegogo is the lesser-known cousin of Kickstarter, and it has something of a bad reputation for harboring particularly unrealistic crowdfunding campaigns (Lazer Razor, anyone?).

To try to give people more confidence in some campaigns, Indiegogo has partnered with Arrow Electronics, a design and production firm. As reported by TechCrunch, Indiegogo campaigns will get access to expertise to help with the manufacturing and prototyping, and get an official stamp of approval from Indiegogo to help lure in backers.

3-D printing has been used to make all sorts of products of increasing complexity, including rockets for spacecraft and engine components. But it’s not until you see an Airbus exec lifting this motorbike with one hand that the technology’s potential really starts to shine through.

The oh-so-cleverly-named Light Rider is produced by Airbus subsidiary AP Works. It has a 3-D printed frame made from a proprietary aluminum alloy, which Airbus claims to be as strong as titanium. Even including the chunky tires, suspension and electric motor, the whole bike only weighs in at 35kg.
