It might be Memorial Day in the United States but half way around the world, Computex kicked off early with a big press conference hosted by Asus. The company had a number of interesting announcements in store for attendees, including a sleek MacBook clone and a new smartphone that pulls off a stunning design feat not even Apple can manage with the iPhone 7. But the new Zenbo home robot may have been the company’s most intriguing announcement on Monday, offering users an adorable interactive machine that’s smarter than any dog or cat. Also of note, it doesn’t poop or scratch up your furniture.

Hodor is gone, but we hardly have any time to mourn losses on Game of Thrones. The show is moving at a very fast pace, as there are plenty of converging subplots to follow — that’s why not all our favorite characters get screen time in every episode. There’s simply no room to expand on all the story lines in just under 60 minutes, but the closer we get to the end of the sixth season, the more action we’re bound to see.

Without spoiling last night’s episode for you, we can tell you that war is looming in the Seven Kingdoms. At least that’s what the fresh trailer of episode seven, due to air on June 5th, suggests. But spoilers are coming below, so avoid the new trailer if you haven’t seen episode six yet.

There’s no question about it, Samsung’s Galaxy S7 is one of the best Android phones money can buy this year. But Asus has come up with a phone that’s not only cheaper than Samsung’s newest flagship, it also packs crazy hardware and specs that should offer an amazing performance. The new Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe has specs so impressive that it could easily power up an ultraportable laptop. We’re looking at 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of built-in storage – and before you ask, yes, it’s the same kind of speedy flash memory that’s found inside Samsung’s Galaxy S7. And yes, you can further expand it via microSD storage.

Better yet, Asus seems to have discovered the secret recipe for fixing the worst thing about the iPhone’s design: The company has crafted an all-aluminum design that removes the ugly antenna lines from the equation.

Apple’s own iPhone battery case is an acquired taste, as you can see in the photo at the top of this post. The problem is that some people will never acquire that taste. And on top of its odd look, the case is also very pricey at $100, plus it has a small battery compared to other options out there.

Speaking of other options, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s owners in search of a new battery case should check out the iXCC 3100mah External Battery Backup Charging Case for Apple iPhone 6/6s, which is one-third the price of Apple’s battery case with 65% more capacity.

It’s not just the iPhone that Apple’s rivals try to beat by copying. Apple also sets design standards for laptops, and everyone else is trying to come up with devices that feature MacBook-grade build quality and design.

Asus is the latest company to come up with a Retina MacBook killer, the brand new ZenBook 3. The device is clearly meant to compete against the 12-inch MacBook and the MacBook Air family, as the two devices were even mentioned on stage during Asus’s recent keynote.

Many people criticize Apple’s voice-based assistant since Siri tends to run into problems on the iPhone and other devices. Some even worry that Apple might have a tough time combating Google’s artificial intelligence, and even potentially face a fate similar to BlackBerry in the event that its AI can’t compete. But it turns out that Apple is working on an advanced AI product of its own, which could be unveiled in the very near future.

Mugger arrested after victim spots him on Facebook’s ‘people you may know’ section

In a somewhat bizarre story which proves that truth is often stranger than fiction, a serial mugger in England was arrested after one of his victims spotted him under Facebook’s “People you may know” section.

Originally reported by the BBC, 21-year old Omar Famuyide had a long history of theft, muggings and armed robberies to his name. Not too long ago, Famuyide brandished a knife and stole a car. Flash forward a bit, and the victim of said car robbery was recently shocked to see Famuyide’s face pop up as a suggested friend he might want to add on Facebook.
