Black Friday is officially in full swing, which means it’s the best time of the year to buy new Philips Hue smart lighting products. All of the brands most popular smart bulbs are on sale right now, including the Philips Hue LightStrip Plus, Philips Hue A19 color bulbs, 4-packs of Philips Hue White bulbs, and plenty more. Those are all terrific deals and if you already have a Philips Hue setup, you should absolutely take advantage. If you don’t already have a Philips Hue setup though, there’s another brand you might want to explore.

Philips Hue color A19 bulbs are great, but MagicLight WiFi Smart Light Bulb is just as good and it costs just $17. You get the same support for 16 million colors, Alexa, Google Assistant, and smart home hub support for less than half of what you’ll pay for a comparable Philips Hue bulb… at its best Black Friday price! And how about that popular Philips Hue LightStrip+ for $60? It’s also a solid deal, but once again the MagicLight LED Strip Light still costs less than half as much right now. Definitely check them out — or if you still want Philips Hue lighting, here are the best Black Friday deals:

iPhones are at the top of the wish list for many people every Black Friday, and retailers battle each other with all sorts of interesting deals on Apple’s flagship product. This year, several retailers have advertised iPhone deals that covered the latest iPhone models, with Walmart being one of the companies that proposed a few impressive discounts on 2018 and 2017 iPhones. %name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

It’s hard not to feel like we’re living in the Golden Age of the Reboot. Spider-Man and James Bond are among the countless big screen characters and franchises that have gotten rebooted installments, and TV is giving us plenty of examples as well these days. Which got the folks at The Hollywood Reporter curious — they decided to ask moviegoers what’s an existing movie franchise that they’d most want to see a new movie from?

The answer? Great Scott! We all apparently want to go back. To the future!

Elon Musk: Tesla to double its Supercharger capacity in 2019

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Range Anxiety used to be a legitimate concern amongst prospective Tesla buyers. And with good reason, no one wants to find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere with no charge left and not a charging station in sight. In an effort to address this concern, Tesla a few years ago astutely began rolling out a network of Supercharger stations wherein Tesla owners could charge up their vehicle in a relatively short amount of time.

In recent years, Tesla’s Supercharger network has expanded considerably all across the globe. As a point of reference, Tesla in 2014 had put up a total 221 Supercharger stations. By 2018, the number of Supercharger stations jumped to 1,375. Still, Tesla has no intention of scaling back its rollout of Supercharger stations, especially in light of how many more Tesla vehicles are on the road these days thanks to the popularity of the Model 3.

Both Samsung and Huawei are considering similar names for their foldable phones

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The advent of foldable phones is going to be one of the higher profile and most closely watched mobile industry storylines of 2019, if for nothing else than the novelty of the new form factor. Between now and then, we’re also sure to get a steady stream of tidbits about everything from colors to internal specs related to the first foldable handsets on the way from device makers like Samsung and Huawei, with one of the newest details related to naming.

Huawei is reportedly pondering four names for the Chinese manufacturer’s first foldable device, with one of the names (“Mate Flex”) going the same route as a name under consideration for Samsung’s first foldable phone. As we reported a few days ago, Samsung executives internally are weighing “Samsung Flex” and “Galaxy Flex” as possibilities, though no device has as yet been made.

Google is taking it slow when it comes to the rollout of its Duplex AI

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

One of the most exciting and certainly headline-grabbing features of the Duplex AI feature that relies on Google Assistant is starting to come to Pixel phone owners. Sort of.

In a statement provided to VentureBeat, Google confirmed that it’s begun a “slow rollout” of the service, which offers an automated way to call a business and book reservations and appointments on your behalf. That’s the centerpiece of this new AI system, for now, and it definitely made waves when Google showed it off earlier this year complete with a very human-sounding AI voice doing the automatic calling on your behalf with all of the “ums” and pauses of natural human speech.

Report: Blizzard’s working on a Pokemon Go-like ‘Warcraft’ mobile game

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

As part of an extensive piece on the future of the Diablo series (and the state of the game’s developer, Blizzard, as a whole), Kotaku’s Jason Schreier broke some exciting news: Warcraft is getting the Pokemon Go treatment.

For a bit of background: Blizzard announced at its annual BlizzCon event earlier in November that it is developing a mobile version of Diablo called Diablo Immortal. Fans of the franchise were incredibly upset that Blizzard didn’t have any substantial updates on the next major entry in the franchise (a PC or console game), and instead chose to save the announcement of a slimmed-down mobile version for the big reveal at the end of the keynote.
