In the interim, a report from FierceWireless relays that AT&T will be replacing the LTE indicator on its smartphones with a 5G E symbol in markets that support the latest and fastest LTE technologies. The ‘E’ stands for Evolution and is available in 99 markets across the country and will expand to include 400 markets before 2019. AT&T notes that 5G E enables “peak theoretical wireless speeds for capable devices of at least 400 megabits per second.”

The relentless march of technology has made it possible for people do some interesting things to their own bodies, but injecting potentially harmful DNA just to see what happens is definitely near the top of the list of things you should never do. That didn’t matter to high school student Adrien Locatelli of Grenoble, France.

The teen recently published a paper claiming that not only did he inject DNA proteins into his body without knowing if they would harm him, but that he built the DNA sequences himself by translating religious texts including the Book of Genesis and Koran into the building blocks of DNA.

If you’re interested in picking up a new tablet, but aren’t willing to shell out $800 or more for the latest iPad Pro, you should hold out hope that a recent report from China Times is accurate. According to the publication, Apple will launch two low-priced iPad models in 2019. One will be an update to the iPad mini line (which hasn’t been updated since the release of the iPad mini 4 in 2015), and the other will be a new entry-level 10-inch model.

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of a new iPad mini. Though a refresh of the line has been rumored basically every year since the iPad min 4 arrived, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed in October that Apple would introduce a new iPad mini at the end of 2018 or early in 2019. It did not make an appearance at Apple’s October event.
