Bose’s most affordable sound bar is still on sale at its lowest price ever
The Bose Solo 5 TV Sound System was by far the best-selling sound bar we covered during Black Friday and Cyber Week. It’s true that it was on sale at a small discount during that time frame, but the incredible thing about the Solo 5 is that it doesn’t even have to be on sale to be an incredible value. No other Bose product offers such great sound quality at such a great price compared to the competition, which is pretty crazy considering how expensive most Bose headphones and speakers are. If you’re in need of a sound bar for any TV in your house, look no further — and be sure to grab one while they’re on sale at Bose’s lowest price ever.

On his first trip as POTUS to a war zone, Trump exposes details about SEAL Team 5
The day after Christmas, with a partial government shutdown under way, President Trump made his first visit to troops in a combat zone. These things are often predictable affairs, the stuff of photo-ops, meet-and-greets, rouse the troops with a speech — that kind of thing.
“We’re no longer the suckers, folks,” a bomber jacket-wearing Trump told US troops during his visit to Iraq. And then he went on to apparently out some of them whose identities are supposed to be a closely guarded secret.

Google won’t let Chrome users roll back to the old UI, and now they’re furious
Back in September, Google began rolling out one of the most substantial Chrome redesigns to date, with a brand new design and dozens of new features. Unsurprisingly, not everyone was on board with Chrome’s new look, which is why our guide to change back to the old design got as much traffic as it did. But with the release of Chrome 71 earlier this month, the ability to switch back was removed altogether, and now the backlash has begun.
I personally don’t mind the redesign all that much, but it is clear that many users do, as ZDNet rounded up dozens of complaints from Reddit and Twitter to show just how far the disappointment has spread. The primary complaints seem to focus on the difficult-to-decipher tabs and the lack of ability to mute tabs.

Runaway cow causes chaos on New Jersey highway
Winter driving can be a real pain in northern states, but drivers on New Jersey’s Route 19 had to deal with a very different kind of hazard on Thursday morning. Instead of snow drifts running across the highway, it was a runaway cow that prevented vehicles from moooving along.
Drivers did their best to steer clear of the loose farm animal, but it wasn’t long before police had beef to settle. As WLNY reports, the creature’s low-speed jaunt down the highway took place at around 4 a.m. local time.

Why the ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ trailer isn’t online, even after Marvel showed it
Marvel will have three new MCU movies out next year, including Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home, which are set to be released in March, April, and July, respectively. But only the first two have trailers for the time being. The first Spider-Man 2 trailer was shown behind closed doors at CCXP a few weeks ago, and we already know what Sony and Marvel have prepared for fans. But the two companies postponed the theatrical release of the trailer, which means you can’t see it in cinemas or on YouTube — and there’s still no telling when the first clip will finally be released to the public.

Post-Christmas deal drops Sony’s new PlayStation Classic to its lowest price yet
The new Sony PlayStation Classic Console is the latest in a long line of retro video game consoles. Like the NES Classic Edition that started the craze a few years ago, Sony’s new PS Classic is a miniaturized version of the original PlayStation console and it comes with 20 different preloaded games that were all very popular back in the day. Unlike other retro mini consoles though, the PlayStation Classic is wonderfully easy to hack so you can expect plenty more games to arrive soon enough. If you didn’t get one for Christmas, we have great news because Amazon is running a killer deal right now. The PS Classic costs $100 in stores, but if you order one today on Amazon you’ll only pay $59.99!
PlayStation Classic Console: $59.99
Here’s some additional info from the product page:
- PlayStation Classic comes with 20 pre-loaded games including, Final Fantasy Vll, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms

The new wave of Netflix phishing attacks is so bad that the FTC issued a warning
The year may be drawing to a close but that doesn’t mean scammers are taking any time off for the holidays. A new bulletin issued by the Federal Trade Commission highlights a fresh wave of Netflix phishing scams that have been landing in email inboxes around the globe.
The scam itself is old. It’s a classic “update your payment information” request that includes a link to a fake Netflix login screen where gullible folks might enter their details, and it’s the kind of thing that we see pretty regularly in our spam filters and junk mail folders, but this particular scam is apparently widespread enough to have drawn the attention of the FTC.
