Marvel just confirmed a wild fan theory about a character who died in ‘Infinity War’
We’re now less than four months away from the Avengers: Endgame premiere, which will finally bring us the closure we’ve been waiting for. Endgame will restore order to the universe, and many of the characters who perished after Thanos snapped his fingers during that epic Infinity War finale will be brought back to life.
The ending of the upcoming movie won’t be 100% happy, though. This is, after all, a Russo brothers Avengers flick. But most of the beloved characters who turned to dust will be resurrected — even characters who died early in Infinity War might be back brought to life (if they really died in the first place). While we wait, however, we’ll show you a huge change Marvel made to an Avengers villain who saw a hero’s death in Infinity War.

The best fast wireless charger for iPhones and Galaxy phones is down to $19.99
The Anker 10W Fast Wireless Charging Stand is the perfect wireless charger for any recent iPhone model or any Galaxy flagship phone from the past few years. Why, you might ask? Because iPhone models like the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone X all use Face ID to unlock rather than fingerprint sensors. Similarly, all of Samsung’s recent Galaxy flagship phones like the Galaxy S9/S8 and Galaxy Note 9/8 can use face scanning to unlock as well. By using a wireless charging stand like this one instead of a pad, you can unlock your smartphone on your desk without even having to touch it because it will be pointed at your face! It normally sells for $26, but you can pick one up today for $19.99 of you hurry.

For the first time, the NYPD will use drones to keep an eye on the New Year’s Eve crowd
According to New York City Police Commissioner James O’Neill, none of the revelers in the Big Apple Monday night who are there to party and celebrate the arrival of 2019 will be more than 10 feet away at any time from either a uniformed or undercover police officer. It’s part of the intense security cordon the city’s law enforcement annually puts in place, given the estimated 2 million people who will pack the area on New Year’s Eve. But in addition to cops who will be on hand to keep everyone safe, O’Neill added during a press briefing that — no surprise — there will also be plenty of security measures you don’t see and may not take any notice of.
Like the fact that the NYPD, for the first time, will be using drone technology on New Year’s Eve to keep an eye on the party crowd and ensure everyone’s safety. Additionally, law enforcement officials will likewise be employing “counter-drone” technology.

Leak shows us the Nokia 9 flagship we’ve been waiting for
Ever since the new Nokia came out with its first Nokia phones two years ago, we heard rumblings that flagship devices that would rival the iPhone, Galaxy S, and Pixel phones would arrive in due time, and HMD Global delivered. The company, however, never launched that elusive Nokia 9 phone that appeared in rumors all the way back in 2017. That might change soon, a new leak tells us.

Amazon to build more Whole Foods stores to boost reach of Prime Now service
When Amazon acquired Whole Foods for $13.4 billion back in June of 2017, many people found the move a bit curious. Now, about 18 months later, Amazon’s plans with the popular supermarket chain are finally starting to crystallize.
A few months ago, for example, Amazon announced that Prime members would able to receive discounts on Whole Foods purchases, with some items available at a generous 50% discount. And now comes word via The Wall Street Journal that Amazon is planning to expand the cumulative number of Whole Foods stores across the country. The reason? It will significantly expand the pool of Prime subscribers who will be able to take advantage of Amazon Prime Now, the company’s free two-hour delivery service.

Netflix will help trick your kids into going to sleep early on New Year’s Eve
Kids learn about Christmas and New Year’s Eve at a very young age, and they want to make the most of it every year. But you know what they don’t get? How time works. So if you have to put your young ones to bed as soon as possible come December 31st, you’ll be able to do so whenever you feel like it — all thanks to Netflix.
Just like in previous years, Netflix has its own (fake) New Year’s Eve countdowns for kids, which will help you convince them that they’ve stayed up way past their bedtime so that they could experience the fireworks (on Netflix, of course) and the fake bubbly drinks (if you’re serving any).

New ‘Captain Marvel’ leak includes a big spoiler that Disney was trying to keep secret
Launching on March 8th, Captain Marvel will be Marvel’s first new movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year, and it’s meant to introduce a brand new hero who’s going to have a pivotal role later in Avengers: Endgame. That’s Captain Marvel, of course, played by Brie Larson in the film. But there is one major Hollywood star in Captain Marvel whose role is still something of a mystery. For months now, we’ve been waiting to see who Jude Law will play in the movie, as Marvel and Disney tried to keep it a secret. Earlier this week, Disney mistakenly let the name of Law’s character slip out. And now we have a different leak that seems to shed even more light on his role.

Everything new coming to Netflix this week, and everything leaving (week of Dec. 30)
The final hours of 2018 have arrived, but as always, when one door closes, another opens… or in the case of Netflix, a bunch of shows and movies leave, while dozens more take their place. This week happens to include the first day of the month, which has become a traditional dumping ground for Netflix, packed with more licensed content than you’ll ever be able to work your way through before another round of content drops next month.
Some of the highlights this week include all three Indiana Jones movies (ok, technically all four), Pan’s Labyrinth, Pulp Fiction, Swingers, The Dark Knight, The Departed, and The Mummy, to name a few. Sadly, we’re also losing Kung Fu Panda, Meet the Parents, The Godfather: Part II, The Iron Giant, and The Shining.
