For a stretch of a few years, you couldn’t really talk about pirating TV shows without bringing up HBO’s Game of Thrones. Indeed, GoT has been the most torrented TV show for about six years now, and set a number of torrenting records in the process. Interestingly enough, Game of Thrones finally lost its crown in 2018. This, though, doesn’t necessarily signal a lack of interest in the show, but is likely due to the fact that, well, the last Game of Thrones episode aired all the way back in August of 2017.

So what dethroned GoT in 2018? According to TorrentFreak, the most torrented show of 2018 was The Walking Dead. This is a bit surprising given that ratings for the AMC show have gone down considerably over the past few years.

NASA may have landed on the Moon decades ago, but that doesn’t mean we know all that much about our nearest celestial neighbor. We’re regularly learning new things as we stare at the lunar surface from Earth, and NASA and other space groups have sent various probes and orbiters to study it in greater detail than was possible.

Now, it’s China’s turn.

In a landing that lined up nicely with the new year, China’s Chang’e 4 touched down on the far side of the Moon and quickly deployed a rover that is now crawling along the surface. It’s the first time any country has accomplished such a feat on the Moon’s little-studied far side, and for China it’s a huge opportunity to contribute to space exploration as a whole.

Samsung is rumored to launch five distinct Galaxy S10 versions this year, including three 4G and two 5G models. The LTE phones, including the Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10 edge, and Galaxy S10+, will be the first to launch, with Samsung set to unveil them in February. The 5G versions, meanwhile, will arrive later this year.

But Samsung will finally copy one of Apple’s great iPhone strategies. All these devices will have the same core specs, which means the Galaxy S10 Lite will be just as powerful as the more expensive models.

2018 was in many ways Marvel Studios’ most successful year to date, with Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War both dominating the conversation (as well as the box office) for months. That momentum didn’t stop in the early days of 2019 either, as Black Panther was nominated for Best Picture at the Golden Globes, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was on hand to celebrate in Beverly Hills, California.

But Feige can’t go anywhere without being asked about the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, and that’s exactly what happened on the Red Carpet last night, as MTV News managed to wrangle the Marvel executive for an impromptu interview. He was (as you might expect) tight-lipped, but did offer a few nuggets.

Following an eventful morning headlined by LG and its roll-up OLED TV, Samsung is the next major company on the docket for a CES 2019 press conference. A few weeks back, a growing number of iPad Pro users began noticing a subtle bend in the chassis of their iPad Pros. Though the bend doesn’t impact performance or usability in any way, it’s not exactly something one expects to see from a top-of-the-line Apple product.

Apple has since confirmed that some iPad Pros are, in fact, shipping with a slight bend, but the company maintains that it’s all a part of the manufacturing process and that users don’t need to worry about the bend getting worse over time. With that said, Apple recently published a new support document which addresses the issue and sheds a bit more light on the iPad Pro manufacturing process.

A new leak tells us that this year’s top phones, including devices like the Galaxy S10 and OnePlus 7, will get another major upgrade that will improve performance and that’s a new mobile storage standard called UFS 3.0.
