New iPhone 11 leak shows an exciting and radical new design

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Remember a few years ago when Tim Cook promised Apple would double down on product secrecy? Well, as much as Apple tries, the company simply can’t keep details about upcoming products under wraps. Just a few days after renders of an iPhone 11 with a triple-lens camera surfaced online, noted leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer is back with yet another bombshell leak. This time around, Hemmerstoffer partnered with CompareRaja to publish brand new renders of an iPhone 11 prototype Apple may be considering for release later this year.

Now the good news is that the renders below are far more aesthetically pleasing than the aforementioned triple-lens device that emerged last week. The renders below feature a triple-camera lens oriented horizontally and, interestingly enough, a flash that surrounds the camera module itself. What’s more, the new renders suggest that the notch on the iPhone 11 may shrink ever so slightly.

Everything we know about the floating ball of ice and the Ice Storm in ‘Fortnite’

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

In addition to being one of the most successful online multiplayer games of all time, Fortnite also becomes one of the more compelling mysteries in gaming every month or so as developer Epic Games plants the seeds for its next major event. We’ve seen catastrophic storms, mysterious cubes, and now, a massive ice sphere has been spotted floating above Polar Peak. Unfortunately for Epic, dataminers might have spoiled the surprise.

On Tuesday morning, Epic began rolling out Fortnite v7.20, and it didn’t take long for tech-savvy fans of the game to begin delving into the code to see what they could find. While the official patch notes don’t say anything about the ice sphere, the datamined code indicates that a series of Ice Storm challenges will soon appear in-game, with Ice Legion enemies to defeat, and an Ice King that should make the map even more dangerous for players.

Seeds just sprouted on the Moon for the first time in history

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

In a development that will likely have huge implications for the future of space travel, China’s Chang’e 4 lunar lander successfully managed to plant and sprout cotton seeds on the Moon. This of course marks the first time that a plant has ever grown on the Moon, with the seeds naturally sprouting in a specially designed and concealed container. Incidentally, the Chang’e 4 lander first touched down on the far side of the Moon earlier this month, an impressive achievement in and of itself.

In a post from the South China Morning Post, we learn that the cotton seeds were transported in an airtight container comprised of soil, air, water, and more. Interestingly, the container itself was designed to maintain an internal temperature of about 77 degrees, a key point given how wildly the temperature fluctuates on the Moon’s surface. Some other seeds that reportedly sprouted include rapeseed and potato seeds.

This new ‘Avengers: Endgame’ theory is heartbreaking, but bittersweet

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We’re slowly approaching that April 26th date when Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters around the world and finally tell us exactly how our favorite heroes will beat Thanos. Because after all, that’s what we all expect to go down in the fourth installment of the Avengers saga. We’re in the home stretch now, in that one future out of 14,000,605 possible future scenarios that Doctor Strange saw where they win. How will it all happen? That’s another story, and something fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have tried to guess ever since they walked out of the theater when the final Infinity War credits scenes ended.

What is certain is that the Russo brothers, who directed both Infinity movies as well as Captain America: Civil War, will try to shock the audience. That means we should expect a happy end that’s most definitely will not be entirely happy for all the characters. Some of them will have to die or make other sacrifices to undo the snap. And a brand new theory offers us the kind of heartbreaking, bittersweet sacrifice we may soon witness.

OnePlus 7 might get a camera feature you won’t find on any iPhone or Galaxy phone

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

A leak from a few days ago showed us a purported OnePlus 7 design, one that I personally hope never gets made. That’s because the leak showed what appeared to be a slider phone, an all-screen design that doesn’t deserve to catch on. But the OnePlus 7, or a future OnePlus creation, might get a new camera feature that no other smartphone has right now, and we sincerely hope it does because it would be fantastic.

Apple’s current iPhone models aren’t selling as well as people thought they would. It’s not that they’re bad phones, of course, but they are insanely expensive and many people don’t want to part with that much cash if they don’t have to.
