SpaceX’s shiny new rocket broke when it tipped over in high winds
SpaceX’s Starship might not be ready to carry passengers for a while, but that hasn’t stopped the company and its enigmatic CEO from generating plenty of hype. The Starship prototype, named Starhopper, was slated to begin testing within weeks, but a breezy night in Texas has changed all of that.
According to Musk, winds topping 50 miles per hour managed to break the blocks to secure the spacecraft in an upright orientation, causing it to tumble onto its side. Unfortunately for the company, Starhopper didn’t make it out unscathed, and Musk estimates that it will take weeks to patch things up.

Fresh leak brings new details on 4G and 5G versions of Samsung’s foldable Galaxy phone
Samsung is still nearly a full month out from the official reveal of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Fold, but there might not be anything left to announce by the time the Unpacked event rolls around on February 20th. In fact, on Thursday, yet another leak sprung, as SamMobile reports that Samsung will sell the 5G version of its foldable smartphone in South Korea this year. Carriers have apparently completed deployment, and now await compatible devices.
Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy Fold will launch globally this year, but has yet to clarify the regions in which the phone will be available, much less the 5G variant specifically. It would make sense for the phone to come to the US as well, but SamMobile says there’s no hard evidence of an impending US launch quite yet.

The world’s first foldable 5G smartphone is about to launch, but you can’t have it
Samsung’s first foldable phone will launch by early April in Europe, a recent report said, with the South Korean giant expected to give the Galaxy F a proper announcement next month during its Galaxy S10 Unpacked event. But Samsung isn’t the only company making foldable devices, and up until this week we thought Samsung’s foldable handset wouldn’t even have 5G support. Samsung’s biggest Android rival right now is making a foldable handset of its own, and this device will come with built-in 5G support. The company confirmed that the unnamed handset will be unveiled soon ahead of its expected April release, but you won’t be able to buy it.

Nintendo rumored to launch a new cheaper Switch console this year
Nintendo is widely expected to launch new Switch hardware this year, although it’s still unclear what the new console, or consoles, will have to offer. A report earlier this week said the Switch is about to receive a meaningful update when it comes to RAM and built-in storage. Previously, a report said the hardware revision would bring an improved LCD screen that will be slimmer and more energy-efficient. Now, a brand new report supposedly sourced from Nintendo’s supply chain says that a less expensive Switch model may be in the making.
