‘Mario Kart Tour’ for iPhone and Android delayed to summer
Time does fly when you’re having fun, as long as the fun doesn’t include waiting for Nintendo’s Mario Kart Tour mobile game to become real. Exactly a year ago, Nintendo announced that a Mario Kart game for iPhone and Android would be launched by the end of March 2019. That’s no longer happening, as the company delayed the launch to summer.

Samsung has high hopes for the Galaxy S10, foldable, and 5G phones this year
Samsung on Thursday announced the results for the December quarter as well as the 2018 fiscal year, marking the second straight year of record annual results. However, the numbers for the fourth quarter were less than stellar, with Samsung posting drops of 10% (revenue) and 29% (profit) compared to the same period last year. Smartphone sales weren’t great for the company during the December quarter, but that’s hardly a surprise considering that Samsung’s 2018 flagship failed to deliver any excitements. The Korean giant, however, hopes that phones like the upcoming Galaxy S10 series, as well as foldable and 5G devices to help it turn things around.

Surprise! A bunch of kids who weren’t vaccinated now have the measles
The anti-vaccination movement — where tragically misguided parents are led to believe that vaccines against childhood illnesses are responsible for conditions like autism — is leading to exactly what doctors have always said it would. The states of Oregon and Washington are now dealing with an outbreak of measles, which had previously been eliminated in the entire United States as recently as 2000.
As the Associated Press reports, at least 35 people are now confirmed to have the disease, with around a dozen other suspected cases yet to be confirmed. Of the 35 confirmed cases of the age-old illness, 31 of the infected have never been vaccinated against the disease.

Follow along as this video maps out everywhere Elon Musk flew his private jet in 2018
He’s referred to it as the “most painful” year of his career.
Over the course of 2018, Tesla co-founder Elon Musk’s personal and professional life careened from the trappings of celebrity to raising eyebrows for appearing to smoke weed during an interview to getting sued by federal regulators and using his Twitter account to go on rants and skewer critics. All, of course, while continuing to run his electric car company, space venture, build underground tunnels and much more.

KFC is testing a Cheetos fried chicken sandwich, but only in a few lucky states
Never have I felt so foolish for leaving the South and moving to New York than I do today. In an act of what can only be described as true bravery, KFC this week revealed its new Cheetos Sandwich, which is, as you might have worked out from the image atop this article, a crispy chicken sandwich stuffed with Cheetos.
Available at select KFC restaurants in Greensboro and Raleigh, North Carolina; Roanoke and Richmond, Virginia; and Greenville, Georgia, the Cheetos Sandwich is a Southern exclusive for the time being. When or if it will expand its cheesy reach remains to be seen, but for now, know that the rest of us are all very jealous.

SpaceX just can’t catch its rocket nosecones, no matter how hard it tries
While you’re watching SpaceX send rockets into space over and over again, it can be easy to forget that the company is really still just a startup. As such, it’s still working out the kinks in its operations, and one of the kinks it just can’t seem to iron out is its repeated failures to catch and reuse a portion of their rocket called the fairing.
The fairing is a piece that forms the nosecone of the rocket, and it’s not particularly cheap. SpaceX boss Elon Musk is determined to figure out a way to catch the nosecone before it slams into the ocean so that it can be reused at a later date, but in a newly-published video it’s clear that SpaceX has once again come up short.

Tesla Model X owner caught sleeping on the highway with Autopilot turned on
A wild, if not disturbing, video that originally surfaced on Jalopnik shows a Tesla Model X owner taking a full-on snooze while his car drives down the highway. Tesla’s Autopilot feature is of course activated but it’s clearly not designed to let people fall asleep at the wheel. If anything, the Tesla driver in the video is so relaxed that he’s not even at the wheel; he’s full-on reclining.
The Model X in question was reportedly on a highway headed to Las Vegas and thankfully didn’t get into any type of serious crash. Indeed, there have been cases where Tesla vehicles on Autopilot get into serious crashes even with a fully alert and attentive driver. Tesla, to its credit, began implementing safety measures around its Autopilot feature in response to Tesla owners abusing the feature in downright dangerous ways. In one widely circulated video that has since been removed from YouTube, a Model S owner a few years ago turned on Autopilot and actually went into the backseat while the Tesla handled all the driving.

The first phone in the world with no buttons or ports is up for preorder
Two Chinese smartphone vendors last week unveiled two devices that offer designs that aren’t available from Apple or Samsung, as well as features that the iPhone XS or upcoming Galaxy S10 don’t have. These are the Meizu Zero and the Vivo Apex 2019 — both concept devices meant to highlight what the smartphones of our dreams may look like in the not too distant future.
These designs, however, make several compromises, which explains why they’re not necessarily useful right now. That’s why neither Meizu nor Vivo announced plans to mass-produce the handsets. However, the former is ready to manufacture the phone… if you’re willing to pay the price in advance.

PlayStation Plus free games for February 2019
That’s all, folks. After next month, Sony will stop giving away PS3 and PS Vita games as part of its monthly Instant Game Collection. The company first announced this change last February, but a year later, the time has come. The good news is that they’re going out with a bang, as Divekick and Metal Gear Solid 4 are the two (fantastic) games being given away for free in February (along with Gunhouse and Rogue Aces on PS Vita).
Sony also announced that cloud storage space for game saves will be expanded from 10GB to 100GB for all PS Plus subscribers. I’m not sure if anyone actually needs 100GB for their saves, but it’s a nice perk. And as for the free PS4 games, anyone who hasn’t played the first season of Hitman should get it ASAP.

Scientists create the deepest space image ever by mining Hubble images for new light
The Hubble Space Telescope has produced some of the most stunning glimpses of distant objects mankind has ever laid eyes on, but one particular image has repeatedly wowed researchers and continues to yield new discoveries.
It’s a composite image of an area of space known as the Hubble Ultra-Deep Field, and it took hundreds of hours to produce using the telescope’s Wide Field Camera 3. The observations revealed ancient galaxies dating as far back as 13.2 billion years, and it’s the “deepest” image of space that exists. Now, a new effort to mine the original images for additional detail has resulted in an even deeper look into that area of space.
