Confirmed: Captain Marvel will have two post-credits scenes
In a little over two weeks, the final movie we need to see before Phase 3’s epic Avengers: Endgame conclusion will hit cinemas around the world. Captain Marvel will easily win the box office during its launch weekend, and will probably hold on to it for at least another weekend if not more. Because we’re so close to the film’s premiere, Captain Marvel is already being screened for the media, and we now have official confirmation that the movie will have two post-credits scenes. We obviously already expected Captain Marvel to feature credits scenes. After all, this is an MCU film meant that will tease not only Avengers 4, but also other events to follow in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Galaxy S10’s hole-punch display is better than the iPhone’s notch, but I can’t live without Face ID
Samsung’s Galaxy S10 phones are finally official, and they come with those gorgeous Infinity-O hole-punch displays where the selfie camera pierces through the screen. Samsung stayed away from copying the iPhone X design last year, which was surprising considering that every other smartphone maker did, But now the results are paying off. The Infinity-O screens certainly bring a new take on all-screen design people crave.
Are they better than notch displays like on the iPhone X/XS? That’s up for debate and it’s probably a matter of personal preference. Both of them are design compromises meant to offer us the best all-screen displays within the confines of current technology limitations. Both of them steal a part of the screen from you while simultaneously giving you more screen than previous phones. And ultimately, you’ll get used to either one. I personally favor the Infinity-O screen design over the notch, but there’s a huge feature missing from the Galaxy S10 that will make me stick with the notch on Apple’s iPhones: 3D facial recognition.

Yes, the Galaxy S10 works just fine with screen protectors
Samsung on Wednesday finally took the wraps off of its latest and greatest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+. Spoiler alert: they’re really, really hot. Speaking of spoilers, pretty much everything Samsung announced on stage in San Francisco on Wednesday had already been spoiled by months upon months of leaks and rumors. We saw the phones themselves featured in photos and videos, we saw the complete specs sheets leak, and we saw plenty of reports that detailed all of the hottest new tech and nifty new features. We even knew that pre-order availability would kick off tomorrow, February 21st, and we knew that the phones would be released two weeks later on March 8th.
Yes, we did indeed know just about everything there was to know about the new Galaxy S10 lineup, but there were still a few pieces of the puzzle that didn’t really come together until today, once the Galaxy S10 series was officially announced. For example, pricing in the United States was still a mystery until Samsung revealed that the Galaxy S10e will start at $749.99, the Galaxy S10 will start at $899.99, and the Galaxy S10+ will start at $999.99. There was something else that was a bit of a mystery, too: following the release of a leaked hands-on video, rumors started to spread that the in-display fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ wouldn’t work with screen protectors covering the displays. Well, we’ve got some great news for people who were concerned that their screens might have to go unprotected, because BGR has confirmed that those rumors were not accurate.

This is the Galaxy S10 5G
There’s certainly a whole lot to unpack from Samsung’s Unpacked press conference today, and there’s no question that Samsung is starting off 2019 with a bang. 2018 was a boring year that saw the company release three new flagship phones total, and each one looked exactly like its predecessor. What’s more, the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, and Galaxy Note 9 brought nothing new to the table that might have piqued people’s interest. It’s one thing to release new smartphones that use old designs but introduce hot new marquee features. But it’s another thing entirely to release new smartphones that use old designs and the same old features.
Thankfully, 2019 is starting off on the right foot for Samsung. Last year we got three boring new flagships in 12 months, and this year we’re getting three exciting new flagships just in one day. The Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ all sport gorgeous new designs that pull Samsung phones into the modern all-screen era, and they’re also packed full of awesome new technology that Android fans are going to love. We’ve told you all about these new S10 models and you really can’t go wrong with any of them. But if you want the best of the best in 2019, there’s a fourth model called the Galaxy S10 5G and you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer to get your hands on it.

Galaxy S10: Everything you need to know about Samsung’s totally redesigned flagships
Samsung on Wednesday unveiled the latest additions to its flagship smartphone lineup, and we were completely taken by surprise! Okay fine, so we already knew almost everything there possibly was to know about Samsung’s new Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+. In fact, we’ve known all the most important details for months now, since Samsung couldn’t seem to keep any key specs or features under wraps this time around. Most of the important information surrounding the completely redesigned Galaxy S10 and its counterparts has been common knowledge for quite some time thanks to rumors, reports, info leaks, and even hands on photos and videos that hit the web ahead of Samsung’s Unpacked press conference on Wednesday. Of course, the devil is in the details and there are still some neat features that didn’t leak ahead of the S10 series’ debut on February 20th.
We spent some time with Samsung last week to check out the company’s fresh new flagship smartphone lineup, and we have some news that Android fans are going to appreciate. Despite the fact that all that info leaked long before today’s announcements, and despite the fact that you’ve seen the new Galaxy S10 phones in photos and on video a bunch of times already, you’re still going to be blown away by these hot new devices when you finally get your hands on them in two weeks. To tide you over until then, you’ll find everything you need to know about the new Samsung Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10 5G right here in this post.

Scientists are now testing genetically modified mosquitoes, which is just as scary as it sounds
In many developed countries, mosquitoes are a nuisance that also have the potential to be carriers for disease. In areas where malaria runs rampant, however, they are a lethal threat that claims lives. Many parts of Africa have been caught in the grip of a malaria epidemic for decades, and mosquitoes are the primary carrier.
Now, controversial genetic modification of mosquitoes is breaking new ground in the fight against the disease and its airborne army of carriers. As NPR reports, scientists based in Italy have begun large-scale testing of genetically altered mosquitoes in a controlled lab environment for the first time.

Samsung’s foldable phone just got real: Meet the Galaxy Fold
Samsung’s first foldable phone is no longer a secret. The company showed us a prototype back at its SDC18 developer conference in November so it could announce the Infinity Flex screen and the One UI user interface that will work on all Samsung phones going forward, including foldable gadgets. But that wasn’t a real launch for the phone, as Samsung wasn’t ready to share its commercial name or tell the world how much it’ll cost. It didn’t even offer us a good look at the phone. The prototype was encased in a bulky protective case, and the imagery it used also camouflaged the phone’s design.
Fast-forward to February 20th, the Galaxy S10 launch day, and a massive leak showed us renders of the Galaxy Fold just one day after a leaker said that would be the phone’s name. Well, Samsung’s Unpacked event is finally here, and the Korean giant just confirmed the Galaxy Fold name and revealed other details about the handset.
