Watch live as Huawei unveils the world’s first 5G foldable smartphone at MWC 2019
Samsung a few days ago surprised fans and competitors by unveiling the Galaxy Fold in all its glory, well before the Galaxy S10’s name was even mentioned on stage. Samsung’s started the Unpacked event with a segment worthy of a “one more thing” moment, as the Korean giant knew well ahead of time what would follow at MWC 2019. Samsung’s main Android threat right now would surely launch a foldable handset of its own, one it has been teasing for months now. Thanks to a leak on Friday we already know what the device is and exactly what it’ll look like. The Huawei Mate X is labeled as the world’s first 5G foldable phone on a billboard spotted in Barcelona, and it’s the anti-Galaxy Fold, if you will.

Xiaomi just unveiled an incredibly cheap 5G smartphone at MWC 2019
While we expect the first wave of 5G smartphones to be more expensive than their 4G counterparts, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi just proved it doesn’t care about any of that. A few days ago, Xiaomi launched the Mi 9 flagship, including a version with 12GB of RAM that’s significantly cheaper than the 12GB Galaxy S10+ that was unveiled on the same day. Now, Xiaomi just opened the Sunday press conference tour at the Mobile World Congress by launching an incredibly affordable 5G phone.

Watch live as Xiaomi unveils hot new smartphones at MWC 2019
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi shocked the world a few days ago by launching a smartphone with 12GB of RAM that’s somehow still incredibly affordable compared to the $1,600 Galaxy S10+ with 12GB of RAM that was unveiled last week. Is there anything left to show off at MWC 2019? Xiaomi certainly seems to think so, and will kick off Sunday’s series of press conferences in Barcelona, Spain with an event of its own that’s scheduled to begin at 4:30 AM EST. If you’re awake — or if you’re in Europe where the show starts at 10:30 AM — you’ll definitely want to check it out.

Of course some apps are sharing private health details with Facebook
Stop us if you’ve heard a version of this one before. Facebook is slurping up a trove of extremely personal data from users of almost a dozen smartphone apps — apps which send along info that includes extremely private health details that the user, of course, is unaware Facebook is getting its hands on.
That’s according to a test of more than 70 apps reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, which found that at least 11 are sending such details to Facebook without the users’ knowledge. Not only that, Facebook can apparently also collect this data from users of the various apps in question who don’t have a Facebook account.

The real threat in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ might be right in front of our eyes, and it’s not Thanos
We’re in the final stages of the end game, and that’s Avengers: Endgame. We already know from Doctor Strange that there’s only one way for the Avengers to come out on top, and for that to happen all the deaths and sacrifices that we’ve witnessed in Infinity War were necessary. In the next movie, they’ll very likely have to face the mad titan again and again, but Thanos might not be the real villain in the film. Or, better put, while Thanos is the best villain the MCU has ever seen and he’ll probably continue to shine in the upcoming movie as well, there’s a much more significant threat looming. We’ve seen all sorts of theories trying to explain who that real threat might be, but the newest one is pretty interesting, as it suggests the real danger has been hiding in plain sight right in front of our eyes.

Dog personalities can shift just like those of humans, study says
We like to imagine that all dogs are good dogs — and the vast majority of them never give us a reason to question that belief — but just how good they are is something that can change over time. A new study suggests that canine personalities aren’t set in stone and, just like humans, they can go through dramatic personality changes based on life events.
The research, which was published in Journal of Research in Personality, is the largest study of dog personality ever conducted. Over 1,600 dogs spanning 50 different breeds were included in the work, which surveyed pet owners and attempted to draw links between life events and changes in the behavior of the animals and their caretakers.
