‘Game of Thrones’ theory: Ned Stark could make a shocking comeback in season 8
Ned Stark may have died back in season 1 of Game of Thrones, but we could still see him in the upcoming season of HBO’s hit TV series. Well, a version of him, a fan theory suggests, after inspecting the recently released trailer.
The trailer is very dark, and that means we don’t get to see all the details in it. Well, of course it’s dark, because winter is coming. Also, HBO probably doesn’t want to give anything away too soon.

ZTE’s vision of a foldable phone looks nothing like what we saw at MWC
Chinese smartphone maker ZTE has previously patented a design for a horizontally folding tablet-like device, and it now it seems the brand may also be considering a foldable display for use in an upcoming smartphone design.
A new patent filing has been published suggesting as much and is already leading to speculation that whatever ZTE ultimately moves forward with could end up going head-to-head with the forthcoming Motorola RAZR once it’s released. At any rate, the main thing to note in the new ZTE patent is the design that unfolds to give the user a long screen, as opposed to a tablet-style surface as seen in the design of the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X.

If we’re looking for aliens, we might want to take a closer look at twin stars
In the ongoing search for life outside of Earth, scientists already know that planets need to be in just the right place around their host star to support life as we know it here on Earth. The habitable zone around a star is a place where temperatures are neither too hot nor too cold, allowing for the formation of molecules that researchers believe are crucial to jump-starting life.
Now, a new study published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society suggests that finding planets in this so-called “Goldilocks zone” might be easier if astronomers turn their attention to systems with multiple stars orbiting each other at the center.

2,024 robocalls were received in the US every second in February
February was another bad month in terms of the scourge of robocalls, which remain a pretty out-of-control problem in the US.
The total number of such calls received nationwide last month was almost 5 billion, which was just shy of January’s all-time high of 5.2 billion. While last month did represent a slight decline, to put into context how big a problem that number still is consider that February’s 4.9 billion robocalls equals almost 175 million received every single day during February — which likewise equates to 2,024 every single second during the month.

The actor who plays the Night King in ‘Game of Thrones’ just gave a revealing interview
This is the kind of thing that may get Game of Thrones fans more excited than most of the other interviews that cast members have given, in which they’ve shared their feelings about the final season and talked about how emotional it’s been (without sharing really anything in the way of detail, of course).
The actor who plays the Night King in the series has just given a rare interview, and it’s definitely got us on a whole new level of excited. For example, take this answer he gives, when asked what his all-time favorite Night King scene has been: “That’s still coming.”

China’s lunar rover is awake again after an extended nap
China’s space program is making big waves as of late, and its soft landing on the far side of the Moon earlier this year — a feat nobody else has accomplished — is the biggest feather in its cap yet. The country has already declared the mission a success, but it’s not done yet, and the rover that was aboard the lander when it touched down on the surface is once again exploring the lunar landscape after an extended nap.
Days on the Moon last a whole lot longer than they do on Earth, but so do the nights. When night fell on the Chang’e 4 lander and rover, the China National Space Administration made the decision to put the hardware to sleep until the light returned.

LG hints at new plans for its Crystal Sound OLED technology, now called Display Speaker
LG has now trademarked what will apparently be the commercial name for its technology that allows the entire display on its new G8 ThinQ smartphone to also double as a speaker.
The smartphone maker showed off the G8 at MWC, where it certainly turned heads thanks to the Crystal Sound OLED technology that uses the phone’s entire screen to act as a speaker. According to a new trademark filing, LG wants to call the technology “Display Speaker,” with the trademark documentation also hinting at what LG will likely do with it next.

Russia doesn’t appear thrilled with SpaceX Crew Dragon’s success
SpaceX made history earlier this week with a successful launch of its Crew Dragon capsule, sending it to the International Space Station where it successfully docked and allowed ISS crew members to explore its interior. It’s a major step for both NASA and SpaceX, but Russia’s space agency might not feel the same way.
Roscosmos, the state-owned space corporation of Russia, and its Soyuz rockets have been the one and only ride available to NASA astronauts since the Space Shuttle program was shut down. The U.S. pays Russia a handsome fee, hundreds of millions of dollars, every year to secure seats for NASA crew members who need to go into space. That’s about to end, and as Ars Technica reports, the public-facing smile Roscosmos is putting forth may not be entirely genuine.

Some Android apps still send data to Facebook without your consent
A report in late December revealed that various apps were sending data to Facebook without your knowledge, including popular apps like Spotify, Skyscanner, and Kayak. Some of them have fixed this behavior since then, but others haven’t taken action. That means Facebook still gets information about your app-related activities, even if you don’t have a Facebook account or if you’re signed out. And you can’t really do anything about it.
