Avocados in six states recalled over possible listeria contamination
Avocados have rapidly grown in popularity over the last half decade or so, earning the “superfood” label and being included in what many people would consider to be a healthy diet. However, if you happen to live in one of six states where California-based Henry Avocado Corporation ships its veggies you’ll want to look very closely at where your avocados originated, or risk a nasty bacterial infection.
Over the weekend, Henry Avocado issued a recall of bulk shipments of its vegetables due to what it deems “the potential to be contaminated” with the bacteria Listeria monocytogenes. The recall affects Arizona, California, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.

Leaked benchmarks suggest Samsung’s Galaxy Fold isn’t nearly as powerful as it should be
After two or three years that were packed full of smartphone designs that nearly bored us to death, things are finally starting to heat up in the smartphone industry. At least, they’re starting to heat up on the Android side of the fence. Apple is expected to use almost the same iPhone design for the third consecutive year in 2019. Thankfully, Android vendors have finally decided to stop copying Apple and instead go their own way. Towards the end of last year, we saw all sorts of nifty new smartphone designs pop up in China. In 2019, things like hole-punch cameras, pop-up selfie cams, and more are making their way to the rest of the world. On top of all that, smartphone makers finally have the technology at their disposal to pack a tablet-sized screen into a pocketable device. The answer was foldable OLED screens, of course, and the first phones with foldable form factors are set to begin hitting store shelves beginning next month.
We already know that Samsung plans to release its Galaxy Fold on April 26th in the United States. On Monday, Samsung announced that smartphone shoppers in Europe will be able to preorder the phone beginning that same day, ahead of its May 3rd release in the region. But some even more interesting news about the Galaxy Fold emerged on Monday, and unfortunately it’s not quite as positive as launch details. Samsung’s first foldable smartphone packs quite a punch, but a new leak suggests it doesn’t translate its jaw-dropping specs into anywhere near as much power as it should.

Two new Nintendo Switch models are reportedly coming this summer
It appears the persistent rumors that Nintendo would give its Switch console a major refresh this year are going to come true after all.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting today that the Japan-based gaming giant is planning two new versions of the console. One will come with “enhanced features” meant for more serious gamers, while the other will be a less-expensive option that’s meant for casual players and will be positioned as a successor to the company’s 3DS handheld system.

Last-minute WSJ report details pricing for Apple news and video bundles
Apple is so serious about the original TV package it’s rolling out tomorrow, which the iPhone maker has been referring to internally as a “Netflix-killer,” that the company at one point gave serious consideration to acquiring either Netflix or the Walt Disney Co. and building a studio for its own TV projects.
That’s according to an exhaustive new report from The Wall Street Journal Sunday, which gives us a detailed look ahead at what the company will reveal at its big media event set for Monday. During that event, Apple will reportedly unveil its new Apple News subscription bundle that will cost $9.99 a month, as well as pricing for its new video service — originally thought to be free to Apple device owners.

This incredible NASA snapshot reminds us how gorgeous Jupiter really is
Jupiter, the “king” of planets in our solar system, is a hostile place you definitely wouldn’t want to visit. The gas giant is a swirling mass of storms that stretch hundreds of miles deep, and the larger storms on the planet like the Great Red Spot are large enough to swallow Earth several times over.
Despite its volatile nature, and the fact that nobody really knows what lies deep within the planet, Jupiter is still one of NASA’s favorite photography targets because it’s just so beautiful. Now, NASA is showing off a new, enhanced image snapped by the Juno spacecraft, and it’s pure eye candy.
