Samsung’s Galaxy S10 5G finally has an official price and release date, but not in the US
It took a bit longer than expected, but Samsung finally announced the release date for its first 5G phone on Monday. The Galaxy S10 5G, revealed during the Unpacked 2019 event keynote in February, will launch in Samsung’s home market of South Korea on Friday, April 5th in Majestic Black, Royal Gold, and Crown Silver colors.
As Samsung notes in its press release, the 5G commercial network in Korea has been active by carriers since last December, which means that early Galaxy S10 5G adopters will be able to experience the gigabit speeds of the new technology right away. Although it ended up coming a few weeks later than Samsung had hoped it would, the Galaxy S10 5G will be the first 5G phone on the market, heralding a new era of transmission speeds.

SNL hilariously mocks the bizarre Jussie Smollett saga in new sketch
The second sketch on Saturday Night Live this weekend pulled no punches and brilliantly tackled the downright bizarre saga of Jussie Smollett. Smollett, if you recall, is the Empire star who, by all accounts, staged his own mugging as part of an ill-conceived effort to make a name for himself and generate some buzz. As the police investigation into the mugging went along, it was soon revealed that Smollett paid his “muggers” a generous sum of money for their services.
The SNL sketch itself begins in a boardroom of writers and network executives waiting for Smollett to arrive. Eventually, Smollett — brilliantly portrayed by Chris Redd — enters the fray and says he was late because he was attacked yet again. With the room of network executives rolling their eyes in disbelief, Smollett proceeds to take out a bag of clues his attacker purposefully gave him to prove any alleged naysayers wrong.

Watch a meteor light up the night sky over Florida
If you happened to be in certain part of Florida or Georgia on Saturday — and also happened to be outside after dark and looking in the right direction — you might have spotted a chunk of space rock lighting up the sky. Easily identified as a meteor, the object sped through the atmosphere in a blaze of glory, and several people managed to capture it on video.
The meteor, which was also detected by National Weather Service hardware, caused a mild stir on social media shortly after it appeared. Video recorded from car dash cameras and home security lenses spotted the rock as it blazed toward the ground.

Netflix is releasing 44 new original movies and shows in April – here’s the complete list
Netflix has been universally regarded as the king of streaming entertainment for quite some time now. But over the past few years, the service has become a clear contender for the all-around crown. Is there another single network out there that produces as much high-quality content as Netflix? We’re not so sure there is. Of course most people tend to pit Netflix against traditional TV as a whole, and when you put it like that there’s a ton of competition out there in April. The first episode from the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones premieres on April 14th, and that’s obviously the most hotly anticipated show of the month — perhaps even of the year. Killing Eve season 2 debuts a week earlier on April 7th, and there’s plenty more from traditional TV networks to look forward to in April. While the biggest premieres of the month might be on traditional TV in April 2019, Netflix still plans to give networks a run for their money. A whopping 44 new Netflix original movies, specials, and full seasons of TV shows will debut over the course of the month, and there really is something for everyone.
Comedy fans can look forward to new stand up specials from Kevin Hart and Anthony Jeselnik. Then of course we’ve got the eagerly awaited second season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina set to hit Netflix this coming Friday. Another show that’s been getting a ton of buzz is Bear Grylls’s You vs. Wild, which will be Netflix’s second interactive production like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. Also set to premiere in April is the Netflix original movie The Silence, which looks a whole lot like A Quiet Place.

The world’s top Samsung insider just leaked a Galaxy Note 10 feature that’ll blow your mind
The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ were disappointing on every level last year, offering users a hardware design that was nearly identical to Samsung’s 2017 flagship phone lineup without any compelling new features to look forward to. As a result, estimates suggest it was Samsung’s worst-selling Galaxy S phone series since all the way back in 2012.
