Microsoft just fixed one of the most annoying things about Windows
One of the most annoying Windows features ever, one that lasted through many iterations of Microsoft’s popular operating system, was the prompt to safely remove a storage drive before actually yanking it out of the USB port. I know I’ve violated that rule countless times during my Windows days, mainly because it didn’t always work as intended. And I have never experienced any data loss or any other issues that should have made me realize that I should have safely removed the drive before ejecting. Going forward, Microsoft will let you remove that flash drive or external drive whenever you please, without bothering you with prompts.

The International Space Station is disgusting
The International Space Station has been home to space travelers for nearly two decades now, and with the current crew of six, there’s been a total of 59 expeditions — or, teams of astronauts from the U.S., Russia, and other countries — since it was put into service. With so many human bodies moving in and out of the spacecraft, it was bound to get a little bit dirty, but a new study of the insides of the ISS reveals just how gross it’s become on a microscopic level.
Using samples from various surfaces, NASA researchers reveal that there’s no shortage of life in the space station, aside from the astronauts themselves. Bacteria and fungi have taken up residence in the spacecraft, and there’s reason to believe that some of them may cause problems down the road.

‘Avengers’ directors reveal which two movies you need to watch before ‘Endgame’
The release of Avengers: Endgame, if you somehow weren’t aware, is less than three weeks away now. And in addition to the Internet still drowning in fan theories about every conceivable plot point related to this much-anticipated final installment in Marvel’s 22-film story arc, the film’s directors have meanwhile been dropping a ton of interesting details in interviews over the last few days.
One such detail is that, as of now, no one seems to have correctly guessed how the movie will end. Among the myriad fan theories out there, some do get close, but it seems that pretty much everyone is wrong.

We may be just days away from seeing a black hole for the first time ever
For how much astronomers know about black holes — it’s a lot, trust me — it’s a bit of a shock that mankind has never actually seen one. Everything science knows about black holes is based on inference rather than actually witnessing one with our own eyes (electronic or otherwise), but that may be about to change.
The Event Horizon Telescope project plans to reveal the first-ever images of a black hole, and the international group of researchers working on the project have something very big to show the world this week. We may be just days away from seeing a black hole for the first time ever.

The most exciting foldable phone of 2019 goes on sale in June
When Huawei unveiled the foldable Mate X phone at MWC 2019 earlier this year, it became clear the Chinese company had a much better design on its hands than Samsung, which announced the Galaxy Fold just a few days earlier. The Mate X’s stunning looks stole the show in Barcelona this year, making us forget about all the other flagships that launched at the same mobile event.
From the get-go, we knew the phone would be pricey, as Huawei revealed the Mate X’s price to be €2,299 ($2,585). What Huawei didn’t offer during the event was an actual launch date. A new report now claims the phone will be available in stores this June.

iOS users who don’t own an Apple Watch yet are just risking their health at this point
Reddit user ClockworkWXVII shared a harrowing experience over the weekend, writing in a post about being at home laying in bed, watching TV and eating, thinking everything was totally fine. All of a sudden, the user’s Apple Watch noted that his “heart rate was stupid fast,” which prompted a call for help. Emergency responders arrived and “found me in serious trouble,” resulting in a rush to the hospital and a trip to the trauma section.
“I felt totally fine before everything happened, and then notifications, and then BAM, everything goes nuts,” the Reddit user recounted, explaining that the watch spotted symptoms of tachycardia, a dangerous condition characterized by a rapid heartbeat. An appointment with a cardiologist was scheduled the day after the hospital visit.

Google may copy Apple in Android Q with a 3D Touch rival called ‘Deep Press’
One of the defining features of 2016’s iPhone 6s was 3D Touch, which allowed users to press harder on the display in order to change the way they interacted with an app or a menu option. Apple first debuted the Force Touch technology that powers 3D Touch in 2014, and five years later, with Apple reportedly thinking about moving on, Google might be considering adding a similar feature to the next major update for its mobile operating system.
Last week, developer Till Kottmann happened upon a line of code in the Android Q beta referencing an unannounced feature called “deep press.” Google’s description of Deep Press reads: “The current event stream represents the user intentionally pressing harder on the screen.”

You can already save up to $150 on a brand new Galaxy S10
Remember about a month ago, when we told you that it might be a good idea to postpone the purchase of the Galaxy S10, as better deals may be waiting down the road? Well, if you still haven’t pulled the trigger, you should know that Samsung is already discounting several models by at least $100, though savings can go up to $150.
The deal is available directly from Samsung, and requires you to get the phone with a carrier payment plan from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or Verizon. The deal doesn’t necessitate any device trade-ins, and the savings apply to various storage tiers, so you can pick which model suits you best.

Bang & Olufsen’s new TV costs more than a car, has speakers that spread like wings
The price tag that tops $20,000 isn’t the only dramatic feature of the gorgeous Beovision Harmony, the OLED TV that Bang & Olufsen is showcasing as part of Milan Design Week 2019.
It also sports a pair of speakers that spread open, like butterfly wings. Turning on the TV, which is comprised of a thin screen that sits close to the floor, means the two finely crafted oak and aluminum fronts housing the powerful sound center will then fan out. At which point, the TV screen rises to the optimum viewing height. Turn the screen off, and the sequence reverses itself.
