SpaceX successfully recovered Falcon Heavy’s nosecone, and it’s going to space again
After many delays, SpaceX was finally able to launch its Falcon Heavy rocket this week, for just the second time ever. The company also made history by successfully recovering both of its side boosters and the central core booster, which it had never done before.
Believe it or not, the trio of boosters aren’t the only things that SpaceX managed to recover. SpaceX boss Elon Musk revealed on Twitter that both halves of the spacecraft’s nosecone were also picked up, and they’re going to send them back into space sooner rather than later.

‘Veronica Mars’ returns with eight new episodes on Hulu in July
This has been a jam-packed week of news for Disney and its myriad brands and franchises, with Thursday featuring a ton of long-awaited detail about Disney+, Friday giving us exciting news about the next installment in the Star Wars movie franchise — and let’s not forget about Hulu. The latter is also a critical piece of Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming ambitions, with a company official saying from the stage at its investor day presentation in Burbank Thursday that Disney would “likely” offer a bundled subscription package that includes Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+.
Hulu has a slate of original content that’s continuing to grow, a slate that keeps getting beefed up thanks to series like the eight-episode Veronica Mars revival that we just learned is coming on July 26.

We now know why Israel’s lunar lander crashed into the Moon
Yesterday, Israel’s first mission to the Moon ended in a rather abrupt and unsatisfying manner. SpaceIL’s Beresheet lunar lander, which was part of a privately-funded mission that would have made Israel the fourth country to successfully land on the Moon, faltered at the very last second.
In the immediate aftermath of the lander’s crash it as unclear exactly what went wrong. An issue with the spacecraft’s engine was suspected, but the lander’s signal was lost shortly after the engine came back online so answers were hard to come by. Now, after studying the data from the landing attempt, SpaceIL has a better idea of what went wrong.

Watch the first trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ right here
As expected, Disney and Lucasfilm debuted the first official trailer for the next episode in the Star Wars saga at Star Wars Celebration on Friday. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be the ninth and final movie of the Skywalker saga that began with A New Hope in 1977. The teaser trailer that director J.J. Abrams introduced at the Episode IX panel doesn’t give much away, but we do get our first shot of Billy Dee Williams returning as Lando.
We also learned that none of than Emperor Palpatine, the main villain of the first six movies, is making a come back of some sort as well. Actor Ian McDiarmid even took the stage after the trailer rolled for the first time to shout “roll it again” in a voice that should sound very familiar to every Star Wars fan.
