There are some things about pay TV that cord cutters will never, ever miss. The first couple that obviously spring to mind are the ridiculously expensive prices, and the annoying channel bundles that can’t be broken apart. But, no matter… all that is behind you now if you’ve cut the cord, and that’s part of the reason so many are saying goodbye to traditional pay TV.

Cable and satellite TV do have some redeeming qualities though, and there are actually a few things cord cutters might actually miss once their pay TV packages are gone. Now, however, there’s a nifty free app that lets you relive cable TV’s glory days without having to pay for it.

A security researcher has recently uncovered a worrisome new Android exploit which allows hackers to compromise a device simply by sending either an MMS message or a multimedia file. Once a device has been targeted and infected, hackers can access a user’s microphone, camera, external storage, and in some cases (depending on the device in question), even gain root access.

Initially discovered by Joshua Drake from the security firm Zimperium, the exploit takes advantage of a number of vulnerabilities found within the software framework Android uses to “process, play and record multimedia files.”

Ugh. Flash. The technology that just about everyone hates and that still just won’t die. While Flash is in its last throes out now that YouTube, Twitch and Mozilla’s Firefox browser have moved away from it, plenty of other websites still use it to deliver both video and games, among other things. Now a new movement called Occupy Flash has started up to get web users to give Flash one final big push over the cliff by uninstalling it on their computer or disabling it in their browsers.

After previous Galaxy Note 5 leaks claimed the handset will have an auto-ejecting S Pen stylus, a new series of images seems to contradict that rumor. The pictures suggest the new phablet will rely on the same type of stylus ejection as its predecessors: You’ll have to take it out manually whenever you need to use it.
