The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have one unique feature that set them apart from other iOS devices, a new interaction model that will likely become the new norm for iPhones and iPads henceforward. Called 3D Touch, the new technology can sense pressure differences for screen touches and taps and enable certain shortcuts that make iOS 9 navigation even faster and more enjoyable.

The iPhone 6s is currently available in a dozen markets around the world, with Apple having sold more than 13 million units during the opening weekend, a new record for the company. However, some reports insist the two new phones are not as popular with consumers as their predecessors. In Japan, current estimates say iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus sales during the opening weekend were 10% to 15% weaker than iPhone 6 series last year.

One of the more compelling new features on the upcoming Apple TV is something Apple is calling Universal Search. As opposed to the status-quo today, where users have to hop in and out of different apps in order to find what programming is available where, Universal Search will allow users to quicky search across a number of varying services to find what they’re looking for. Tesla over the weekend quietly announced that it delivered 11,574 Model S cars to customers over the last quarter. Note that this figure only covers actual delivers to consumers, which is to say that the overall number of orders might actually be much higher. All told, the record represents a new quarterly sales record for the electric car company, just barely squeeqing by its previous sales record of 11,532 vehicles.
Still, Tesla’s most recent quarter looks especially impressive when we look at year over year growth. During the same quarter a year-ago, Tesla delivered 7,785 cars, which is to say that Model S deliveries increased by an incredible 48%. By the time 2015 wraps up, Tesla is anticipating cumulative Model S and Model X deliveries to check in somewhere between 50,000 and 55,000 vehicles. While this is certainly a lofty goal given Tesla’s previous annual record of 33,157 deliveries, the recently released Model X will undoubtedly help bolster already strong sales.

In Apple’s seemingly endless obsession with thinness, it’s probably fair to say that the existing headphone jack standard remains a thorn in Jony Ive’s side. For as much as Apple can ingeniously shrink down its devices to just a few millimeters, the 3.5mm headphone jack remains a fact of life that Apple must continue to engineer around.
Unless, of course, Apple comes up with a completely new headphone standard.

Instagram, the popular photo sharing site owned by Facebook, has never been more popular. Just about a week ago, Instagram proudly announced that it now boasts more than 400 million users who have shared a jaw-dropping 40 billion photos. And speaking to the Instagram’s growing international reach, the service notes that more than 75% of its user base reside outside of the U.S.
The last time Instagram released user metrics was back in December when it said its user base checked in at 300 million users. That being the case, Instagram has impressively grown by more than 30% in just about 10 months time. All that being said, just what exactly are Instagram users taking so many photos of?
