Purported ‘Star Wars Episode VIII’ plot leaks, and I really hope it’s fake

Someone had to do it: I read the supposedly leaked Star Wars Episode VIII plot so you don’t have to. Assuming the leak is genuine and someone from Rian Johnson’s team spilled the beans on what’s going on in the upcoming Star Wars movie, we’ll still love it when it launches next year. But prepare to be shocked!

Yes, there are many spoilers ahead – again, assuming this is the real deal – that reveal who Rey’s mysterious parents might be.

Prince was, in a phrase, one of a kind. Rarely does such an eccentric and at times egotistical star actually posses the talent to back up his or her persona, but Prince was a rarity if nothing else. He was one of the most outlandish personalities of his time, and he did have the talent to back it up. He had so much talent that practically all of the greats in the industry adored and respected him despite his eccentricities. Eric Clapton was once asked in an interview what it felt like to be the best guitarist in the world, and his answer was perfect: “I don’t know. Ask Prince.”

Sadly, millennials and other young generations might not know much about Prince beyond the hilarious impersonation of him that was featured on Dave Chapelle’s old show. So we dug up one video that might just tell you everything you need to know.

Netflix users are paying the price for Comcast’s data caps

As pretty much everyone who isn’t on Comcast’s payroll knows, its data caps aren’t about ensuring “fairness” but about slowing the growth of cord cutters. The Wall Street Journal has a good new report that shows how much data caps are already making people think twice about how much they watch Netflix, and one user says he’s already cancelled Netflix because he doesn’t want to pay Comcast’s overage fees.

China bans key iTunes products for iPhone, iPad and Mac

The Chinese government decided to ban two iTunes products which may be detrimental to Apple’s continued success in the country, its second-largest market after America. China wants to encourage local products and business that rival Apple’s iTunes Movies and iBooks Store, which is why Apple users in the region won’t be able to purchase or rent movies and buy books from Apple anymore.

Tesla Model X early adopters continue to struggle with frustrating glitches

While there’s no denying that Tesla’s vehicles are forward-thinking and beloved by multitudes of owners, there’s also no denying that early production models of Tesla vehicles tend to have more than their fair share of kinks and usability issues. We saw it previously with the Model S and now we’re starting to see an increasing number of reports detailing problems with early production models of the Model X.

Following up on a Consumer Reports piece which lambasted the Model X for having one too many usability issues, Fortune highlights an early Model X owner whose experience with Tesla’s crossover SUV has been nothing short of an exercise in frustration.
